Overall rating
The tour to Isle of Skye is a must do for anyone visiting Scotland. While a 5-day tour should be ideal, since we had a limited stay, we were restricted to take a 3-day tour with Hairy Coo. Our guide was Stephan, a jolly-good Scottish guy with a twist of humor and a strong Scottish accent that you quickly forget with his stories, experiences and charming personality. A very helpful and knowledgeable person to have as a guide when touring Scotland. The tour itself is very enriching to learn a bit of Scottish history and witness a wide range of beautiful and scenic locations. A tiring but enriching experience to cover a lot of ground in limited time with Hairy Coo.
Wonderful tour guide Mike. Friendly, attentive, and always happy and willing to help in any way he can. He is also an excellent driver! I just think it would be a good idea to have audio guides in different languages for the history and for Mike to talk and share his experiences with the group. I think it's too much for the driver, and tourists could follow the story in more depth or as specifically as they want.
The trip around the Isle of Skye was particularly fantastic, with beautiful nature and plenty of time for a cold beer in Portree😆 I would have liked a slightly longer stop with the opportunity for some hiking, e.g. a 2-hour stop. But I had a great experience and will definitely be back to Scotland.
Ryan was a great guide! He was always on time an well organized. He told us a lot of stories and had a really nice playlist. So all in all a perfect tour! :-)
The amazing scenic views were well managed and expertly guided by our guide, Ewan.
