Pause to spend some time at the restaurant, view the concert hall, and see a small lake with a direct connection to the sea. The lake is also home to small white blind crabs, which can be seen with the naked eye and are usually found only in waters more than 2,000 meters below the sea.

His vision was a symbiosis of architecture and nature. Start the tour in his footsteps with a visit to Monumento al Campesino, a monument dedicated to the hard-working rural population. See the traditional craftsmanship of the Canary Islands in the small museum and marvel at the impressive restaurant in the foothills of a lava field. Continue into the Valley of a Thousand Palms to the Mirador del Rio. Enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Lanzarote and one of the most representative architectural creations of César Manrique that unites art and nature. Visit the nearby cave, Jameos del Agua part of a 7-kilometer-long lava tube, which was created by the eruption of Monte Corona around 8000 years ago. Discover Jameos del Agua, a portion of which was artistically designed by César Manrique. Here you will find a restaurant, a concert hall, and a small lake with direct access to the sea where small, white-blind crabs live. At the end of the tour, you will drive to the cactus garden “Jardin de Cactus”. Here you will find more than 1100 different species of plants from around the world spread across 5000 square meters. He managed to unite Art, Urbanism and Tourism in a single concept, under a philosophy and model of urban intervention based on sustainability and respect for the natural values of the territory, into what is now a world reference. The Island would be different without the Monument to the Peasant, Los Jameos del Agua, Mirador del Río, Cactus Garden or the Cave of the Greens. It would certainly be less attractive and with much less personality. Not visiting these Centers and works of art, being able to interpret them, is like not even having travelled here. Discover the charms of the south and north of Lanzarote on an excursion that will take you to visit the Cueva de los Verdes, you will have the option to visit Jameos del Agua, it will take you to the cliff next to the Mirador del Rio where you can see the fabulous views towards La Graciosa, we pass through Haria, also known as the Valley of the 10,000 palm trees. In the centre of the island we will see from the bus the Monumento al Campesino (Monument to the Peasant). Afterwards we continue to the wine-growing area "La Geria" where we will stop at a wine cellar to have a small glass of wine and buy a bottle of wine. Before entering the Timanfaya National Park we make an optional stop for a camel ride. If you don't want to take the ride you can visit a free museum about camels. Once in Timanfaya we will see the geothermal demonstrations in Islote de Hilario and we will do the route of the volcanoes, the closest thing to being on the moon. Finally we will see the Laguna Verde on the famous lava coast.

Be transported to another time through the paved streets and historical plazas of Teguise, the municipal capital of Teguise. Enjoy a great view of El Valle de las Mil Palmeras (the valley of the thousand palm trees) on the way to Los Valles towards Haría. Then visit the Cueva de los Verdes, a uniquely beautiful cave with an indescribable interior formed by volcanic eruptions. After passing through Arrieta and Mala, stop at the aloe museum where you will learn about the benefits of aloe. Continue to Guatiza to have a look to the prickly pears plantations where the natural dye, cochineal, is produced. Explore the old quarry where the famous artist César Manrique perfectly fused nature and art. Follow the road to the César Manrique Foundation, located in the old house of the magnificent Lanzarote-born artist. Here, we have the opportunity to contemplate Manrique’s work, as well as various paintings and sculptures by different avant-garde artists.
