Depart from Kissamos Port and sail for about an hour in the bay. Approach the island of Gramvousa and then Balos or vice versa, depending on the itinerary route . Once inside, you are free to explore this Minoan archaeological site at your own pace, including the Grand Palace which dates back to the year 2000 B.C. Learn more about the city which is thought to have been the capital and political center of Minoan civilization and culture. Get a sense of what the building was like originally from the extensive restorations that have taken place throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. Delve into the caves and crevices of the Mediterranean, where stingrays and rock-like scorpionfish slither about. Pop out into the open ocean, where menacing sharks circle, waiting to be fed. Sail with us to the exotic Dia island on our large and comfortable sailing yachts. Our journey begins at the Heraklion Old venetian harbor. As we start, we pass by the glorious Koules fortress which is built right at the entrance of the marina. A few minutes later we exit the main port of Heraklion and we set sails for our destination. As you admire the beautiful Cretan sea and enjoy the feel of sailing our crew will tell you about the legend of Dia island and its history. About 1 hour later we arrive to the bay of Dia. There you can enjoy the crystal turquoise waters and our many water activities such as snorkeling, fishing, paddle boarding and more (the standup paddle boards are not available under rough wind conditions for safety reasons). While at anchor in the bay our crew will be happy to offer you any piece of equipment for our water activities and serve you plentiful drinks so please don't hesitate to request it from them. About 1 hour later our delicious Mediterranean menu is served and includes Greek salad and several appetizers, while the main course is shrimp linguini (we also offer vegetarian and gluten free versions of the menu upon request). You can also accompany your meal with the finest wine, beer, ice tea or soft drinks. Around 30 minutes later our fruit salad of tropical and local fruits is served. After you finish your meal you will have a few last moments of relaxation on the yacht or in the refreshing water before we will set sails once again to Heraklion and say goodbye to the beautiful scenery full of joy and great memories. This is an amazing boat trip to the island of Spinalonga. Spinalonga is a magnificent island with fortresses dating from the Venetian period. It is an island of legends, a triumph to survival in the early 20th century from the scourge of leprosy, now a place of great archaeological and historical significance. The trip starts from the main harbour of Agios Nikolaos at 12:30pm and this is a fully guided trip. As you cruise through Mirabello bay you will feel the sea breeze and have memorable view of the land’s beauty. On board you have the opportunity to listen to information about the places you see (Kri-Kri island, Sunken city of Olous, the Cave of the pirate Barba-Rossa). For the first stop, the boat takes you on the other side of the Kolokytha , a breathtaking bay with crystal-clear turquoise waters, where you will have a 30 minute stop for swimming. The second stop is Spinalonga where you will stay for 1,5 hour in order to make the tour. You will enjoy a guided tour for 30 minutes by our guide who is fully educated in the history of this little island, giving you the time to listen to the historical facts of this famous island. Also, you will stay there for 1 more hour in order to make a tour by yourself and to photograph the landscape. The trip ends at 17:00pm with the arrival in the harbour of Agios Nikolaos. Be picked up by an air-conditioned bus at a pickup point close to your hotel and you be driven to Kissamos Port. There you will board a large comfortable boat with an open deck and a bar-restaurant. Enjoy your cruise along the coast and see the dramatic rock face from the water. The boat after an 1-hour trip will approach Gramvousa Island or Balos Lagoon (depending on the itinerary). Gramvousa Island used to be a pirate's cove. Choose to hike for 20 minutes to the Venetian castle which is built on a steep 137m high rock. Enjoy panoramic views over the Aegean Sea and unique landscape from here. You may also swim in the area next to the chapel of Agioi Apostoloi. After the boat will depart for the lagoon of Balos, which will be reached after approximately 20 minutes. Balos is characterized as one of the best beaches in the world.
