Full-Day Tour; Castle, Palace, Cathedral and Viking Ships

Go on an interesting tour of Danish and Scandinavian history from a Danish perspective. Packed with insight into Danish history and culture.

- Enjoy a guided tour of the UNESCO listed; Kronborg Castle. The Castle dates back 600 years to the time of the Kalmar Union and with architecture for which it became famous in the 1700s century.
- Have the opportunity to, on your hand explore the magnificent Renaissance place of Frederiksborg. Built in the 1700s century by one of the most famous kings at that time, the dual monarch of Denmark-Norway.
- Let our guide introduce you to the Roskilde Cathedral where almost all Christian Danish monarchs are buried. A UNESCO Heritage site dating 1000 years back.
- The day ends at the very coast of Roskilde Fjord. This is where the Viking Ship Museum is located.
Outdoors in the summer, you can watch how a replicate Viking ship is made in the small Viking Shipyard. And you are allowed to enter the moored replicates in the harbor.
Inside the Viking Ship Museum, on display are Viking shipwrecks found in the very fjord where the museum is situated.

- A 1-hour guide tour at the real Castle of Shakespeare's Hamlet Castle - the Kronborg Castle.
- On the way from Kronborg to Hillerod, the tour will take you through the beautiful North Zealand landscape with forests and small villages.
- Arriving in the town of Hillerod, there is a 2-hour stop.
Time for you, to on your own experience the incredible Frederiksborg Renaissance Palace.
Lunch in Hillerod is not included. But we can assist you to find lunch at a nice local café with both Danish and international lunch classics. Should you prefer something else, you might find just that on the local walking street.
- After Hillerod the tour goes to the larger town Roskilde for the last stop of the day.
- At Roskilde Cathedral your guide will introduce you to some of the history of the cathedral, you will see some of the most distinct Christian monarch's graves, and get a small insight into their impact on Danish history.
- The day ends at the Viking Ship Museum at Roskilde Fjord (bay of Roskilde).
The museum has a shipyard and a small harbor full of reconstructed Viking ships. Sometimes we are lucky to see a replicated Viking Ship cruising on the water of the fjord.

Pickup is provided at hotels with adequate parking for a bus in the central part of Copenhagen and the cruise terminal. And is included in the fare.
