Depart from La Paz on a guided two-day trip that includes a boat journey on Lake Titicaca and visits to Copacabana, Yumani and Isla del Sol, where you will be spending the night. Enjoy the magnificent scenery of the cobalt blue lake and snow-sprinkled mountains as you explore the land of the Inca. The tour will depart La Paz early in the morning for Lake Titicaca. Your first stop will be at the Tiquina viewpoint, where you will get some stunning panoramic views of Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at an elevation of 3,812 meters. Next, take a ferry across to Copacabana, the main Bolivian town on the shore of the lake that sits right beside the border with Peru. From here you’ll travel by speedboat to the Isla del Sol, considered by the Incas as the birthplace of their Sun God. In the afternoon, you’ll have time to explore Yumani, on the south coast of the island, and marvel at the Sol Pilko Kaina temple and the details of Inca architecture.  After spending the night on the island, you’ll have the next day free until 15.30, giving you plenty of time to visit the northern side of the island, home to the Golden Museum and the Inca Fountain of Youth. In the afternoon, you’ll take the boat back to Copacabana, where you’ll have time for dinner before catching the bus back to La Paz where you will arrive around 23.00.

Depart from La Paz on a fully guided day-trip that sails on Titicaca Lake and visits Copacabana and Yumani as well as Isla del Sol. Enjoy a tasty lunch and discover the famous Inca Steps and the Inca Fountain. Leave La Paz at around 7 am and after approximately 3 hours you will arrive at Tiquina, the narrowest part of the Lake Titicaca. Cross to the other side by boat and continue the trip on a 30-minute bus ride to the town of Copacabana. Once there, have lunch and then head towards the shore to catch a boat to the Isla del Sol, where you will see the Inca steps and the Inca fountain, also known as the youth fountain.  This Inca fountain represents the 3 pillars of the Aymara Culture, Ama Sua, Ama Llulla, and Ama Quella, which mean, you shall not steal, shall not lie, and shall not be lazy. Afterward, visit the town of Yumani and then start heading back to the port to catch the boat back to Copacabana. Once in Copacabana, explore the church, main square, and the crafts market. By 6 PM you will catch the bus back to La Paz, where you should arrive back in the city by 10 PM.

1-Day Sun and Moon Island Tour – Itinerary We will begin our Sun and Moon Island Full-Day Tour with a hotel pick-up in Copacabana around 9:00 AM. From there, we will walk to the Port of Copacabana to board a shared local boat. (Your professional bilingual guide will accompany you throughout the tour.) We will cross Lake Titicaca (approx. 2 hours) to reach Moon Island, where we’ll spend about 1 hour exploring the archaeological site of the Temple of the Moon and the House of the Virgins of the Sun. Next, we’ll sail for approximately 50 minutes to the northern part of Sun Island. Here, we’ll visit several significant Inca sites, including the Footprints of the Sun, the Chincana (an ancient Incan tunnel or labyrinth), and the Ceremonial Table. This portion of the tour will also last about 1 hour. We then continue with a 35-minute boat ride to the southern part of Sun Island, where we’ll explore the Pillkokaina Temple (Temple of the Sun). Afterward, we’ll descend the ancient Inca steps of Yumani, leading us to the Fountain of Eternal Youth and the Inca garden. - Lunch will be available in Yumani (not included in the tour price). Itinerary: - We begin with the pick-up from the hotel at 6:00 a.m. near the main square of Puno and later to the terminal station, from where we will go to Copacabana by excursion bus. - Later we will arrive at the Peru-Bolivia border (Cassani) where we will carry out the procedures to enter Bolivia. - After completing all the procedures, we will travel to Copacabana, approximate arrival time: 12:00 Bolivian time. Here we will have lunch and visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of Copacabana. Then we will go to the dock to take the boat that will take us to the Isla del Sol. Walk the Inca Staircase and drink water directly from the Fountain of Eternal Youth, then, Walk to the top of the Island to appreciate an incredible sunset (Bolivian and Peruvian side), after that night stay in a local hostel on top of the Island of the Sun from where you will see the lake. Dinner and rest for the night. Day 2 After breakfast take a walk to visit the Temple of Pilcocaina, where you can take magnificent pictures, then return to Copacabana town by boat, there, visit the Temple of Copacabana. Before lunch, transfer by bus to La Paz city. Arrival in La Paz city at 5.30 pm.

Afterward, you’ll embark on a scenic 3.5-hour bus ride, covering 151 km, towards the charming town of Copacabana. The journey offers breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca and the towering Cordillera Real mountain range. Upon arrival at the Copacabana Peninsula around 10:30 AM, you will be greeted by your guide and head to the Sanctuary of the Virgen Morena, an important pilgrimage site. Next, you will visit the Chapel of Candles before boarding a boat for the 1-hour journey to Isla del Sol at 12:00 PM. Upon arrival on Isla del Sol, around 1:00 PM, you’ll explore the Southern Zone of the island. Key sites include the Inca Garden, the Fountain of Youth, and the Pilkocaina Temple, which are all rich in Inca history and culture. After taking in the stunning sights, you’ll return by boat to Copacabana at 3:00 PM, and from there, board the bus for the return trip to Puno or La Paz at 4:00 PM.
