What people are saying about Chichén Itzá
Overall rating
One of the highlights of my trip! Ramiro is an exceptional tour guide, effortlessly swapping between English and Español to explain the intricate nature of the Mayan experience. He made the trip fun and incredibly informative. The Cenote felt incredible to swim in, the tequila tasting was worth it (much better than the name brands you are used to), and Chichen Itza was definitely worth it. You can feel the importance and gravitas of the structure! One thing to note, there are three opportunities to shop: the area around the Cenote where I would only recommend buying the handmade items (or the tequila during the tasting), then in Vallodolid, a small village you can grab ice cream or edible treats and then around Chichen Itza. The vendors around the structure are looking for a quick deal, so be careful and haggle as low as you can, if you decide to get something.
Frank was a great guide for our tour. The cenote was beautiful, swimming with the fish and getting to jump into the water was great. The short stop in Valladolid was just enough time for some nice photos of the town, and 2 hrs to explore chichen itza on our own or with a guide was wonderful. Frank was very funny, entertaining and informative. The only thing I would say could be improved is meeting instructions when booking. There’s no info on what the bus looks like, it doesn’t say amigo tours it says ODA. Also we drove to a meeting spot to find out you cant park there and had to reach out via whatsapp and someone told us to go to the later meeting spot because there’s street parking. (We didnt stay in the hotel zone) all in all great experience, highly recommend and would definitely ask for Frank!
We had visited Chicen Itza in June. We were 7, including 2 teens and 2 seniors and we requested an Italian-speaking guide. Julian spoke excellent Italian and was an excellent guide overall, providing us with clear and insightful explaination about the site history and general Mayan culture. We really enjoyed our tour, despite the incredibly hot day!
the trip was good and we enjoy and learn about Mayan Culture. The Cenote experience was amazing. Thanks to Lorenzo our drivrer and tjenlovely guide Carmen. They did a great job.
A very nice trip with very friendly and informative guides, Omar and Jose. We would definitely recommend it to everyone!
