I chose Jinshanling because it was the least busy of the walls and less touristy... Gary was our tour guide and he was very good. He kept the tour informative but also fun with his Chinese lesson on the bus going to Jinshanling. We were told to bring food and drink but Gary had brought some things for us incase we hadn't, which I thought was a very nice gesture. In our group we only had 6 people, and were in a small minivan, so it was very comfortable for the long 2 hour drive to Jinshanling. Gary kept us informed of any important points along the walk of the wall, and was always on hand to answer any questions. We were joined on the tour by a school, who were doing some form of ceremony, other than that, we only saw about 10 other people on the 3 hour walk across a section of the wall. The views were truly amazing, and it was definitely worth the money. On the way back, Gary gave us all a Chinese gift, which again I thought was a really kind gesture. would highly recommend.

What an amazing experience. This private tour was great. It was at our own pace. Edward our guide was awesome and made sure we had a lovely day. He was professional, courteous and allowed plenty of time to enjoy the peace and quiet up on the wall. Our lunch was very tasty. He also took the time to take so many fantastic photos of us making it memorable and an unforgettable adventure. Tian our driver was on time to pick us up early in the morning and got us back to our hotel quickly and safely. We were so happy with this tour that we are thinking of booking another tour with him.

Great! everything was fabulous the guide Justin was amazing, always with a lot of history and information answering all the questions. Ps :he gave some bananas and cookies at the end of the hike. Bring good shoes, there a lot of steps, up and downs, so be prepared, bring water and some snacks too.

I’d go again and recommend it. This part of the Great Wall is impressive and absolutely picturesque. We were the only group there, which amazed all of us - and our tour size was just 8 people. Justin is a great guide with lots of knowledge and good English. So happy I did this tour!

Gary was a great guide and gave us exceptional infos about the Great Wall and an introduction to China as a country. Even though we encountered a school class of 200 students at the wall, Gary did his best to avoid them and provide us with a clam and quiet tour.
