Alternatively, discover the tower of the old preserved net at the Monastery of Varlaam, or explore the largest of the monasteries at the Monastery of Great Meteoron. Take in panoramic views of these incredible structures and the stunning landscape. Enjoy a traditional Greek lunch in Kastraki, near the city of Kalampaka, before heading back to Thessaloniki.

Enjoy a delicious meal of local Greek specialties, sipping coffee in the warm sunshine, and savoring handmade Greek sweets while taking in the breathtaking views of the mythical mountain. If you’re not too tired, take a short, easy walk around the refuge along a scenic trail to admire the mountain’s grandeur once more. Take part in a guided sightseeing cruise around Mount Athos Bay in Halkidiki to view the imposing western part of the Holy Mountain Athos in a Glassbottom vessel. After getting the chance to see 6 out of 9 of the local monasteries, take some fantastic photos as your boat passes the gorgeous Drenia islets or Donkey Islands as the locals refer to them.  Explore the majestic island of Ammouliani by stopping there for 1.5 hours where you'll have the opportunity for swimming or to have lunch. 

Embark on a journey to Pella with Ammon Express at 8:00 from Aristotelous Square & Egnatia Street (at the white Statue of Venizelos). The distance of 50km takes about 45 minutes to reach. Once in Pella, discover the new and modern museum, as well as the archaeological site boasting unique mosaics. Delight in the "Abduction of Helen" and "Amazonomachy" mosaics in the ancient market, and see artifacts from the daily lives of the people that illustrate the lifestyle during ancient times. Venture to Vergina, where you'll find the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai, situated on the borders of the village. The museum exhibits the Golden Larnax, an urn with the cremated remains of Phillip II marked with a 16-rayed sun, the symbol of Macedonia. The Sun of Vergina, a characteristic symbol of the Argead Dynasty of King Phillip II and Alexander the Great, was found alongside the excavations that revealed his father's Royal Tomb. Admire the Golden Oak Wreath Phillip II wore during his funeral pyre, military armors, various grave goods, and other tombs that were brought back to light. Enjoy lunch at a traditional Greek restaurant before stopping at the grand New Museum of Aigai, where you'll uncover artifacts and findings excavated from the old capital. An impressive portrait of Alexander the Great greets you and invites you to discover the roots of history. Take in the temporary numismatic exhibition showcasing coins from every corner of the Hellenistic world, including coinage of Macedonian kings and Alexander's successors. View monumental sculptures, sárissa spears and helmets of the Macedonian phalanx soldiers, high-class painted pottery, banquet utensils from aristocratic symposiums, and the queen burials with all their jewelry and royal insignia. Your journey concludes with your return to Thessaloniki at approximately 15:30, making the same stops where you started.

Hop on the open-top bus and enjoy a tour of Thessaloniki. See the top monuments and places of interest in the city. Hop off at any of the 7 stations to visit local attractions. You’ll learn about the history of the city during the ride. There's audio commentary available in 8 languages, with information about sites on the route. Hop on and off as often as you like on the route. If you prefer, stay on board and ride the entire loop. Buses depart every 30 minutes from stops positioned around the city. Delight in a fun cruise aboard a glass-bottom boat from Ouranoupoli's port to the famous beaches of Sithonia and the islands of Vourvourou and Diaparos. Enjoy plenty of opportunities for swimming, and savor a traditional Greek barbecue meal for lunch. Board a glass-bottom boat from the port of Ouranoupoli and set sail. Pass over the most famous reef in the area and admire the yellow corals. Travel to the second peninsula of Halkidiki, Sithonia, and take some photos of the picture-perfect beaches. Passing the Blue Lagoon area we stop at a lagoon with crystalline waters for 1.5 hours. Swim in the bay's turquoise waters at a depth of 2 meters. After swimming, replenish your energy with a barbecue full of traditional Greek flavors, such as souvlaki, Greek salad, tzatziki, and bread. Enjoy a glass of wine and beverages for your children with your meal, but inform the local partner a few days in advance if you require a vegetarian meal. Once you've had your lunch, make your way to Alikes Beach on Ammouliani. Stop for 1.5 hours for more swimming opportunities at the port of the lagoon, or sip a cocktail at one of the various beach bars. The tour concludes with a return to Ouranoupolis in the evening.
