Overall rating
A great way to finish our trip to Hungary. My wife and I did a lot of walking across the three days we were in Budapest. Therefore, we had retired to bed long before the beautiful lights had come out on previous nights. The buildings, especially the Hungarian Parliament, were stunning all lit up at night. Somehow they looked even bigger from the water too. We managed to get a seat upstairs near the side. However, the views weee incredible even if you were sat centrally. The drink was really nice. We tried to savour it as long as possible. Would not have said no to another. The location spot was not the easiest to find- this would be my only qualm. Thankfully, the big queue was an excellent giveaway. Do not get stressed if you see a big line, you will still get a seat. We were half an hour early and there were lots of people there before us. It did not bother us but it might be worth noting that the trip is more like 45 minutes with fifteen saves for getting on and off.
Budapest is an incredible city, both in daylight and at night. Everything that my family and I managed to see with our own eyes was 100% worth it. Celebrating my eldest daughter's 18th birthday in the midst of such beauty was the best decision. We all left with pleasant impressions and memories for many years to come. Thank you for these emotions.
Seeing Budapest lit up in all her glory was fabulous. The tour guides weren't actually a part of the cruise and there wasn't any description of the sites but the beauty outweighed all that. We did the 9 pm tour and it was COLD, so dress warm. Overall a great experience.
The beauty is all in the city, which makes any experience magical. Perhaps the quality of the welcome entrance could be improved, and there is an overbooking so even to take pictures you have to get into fights with other people soon.
It’s a good way to quickly experience a Danube cruise and view the key landmarks from the river.
