Naples Tuk Tuk Experience: Between history, folklore, and street food
Posillipo is the promontory that closes the Gulf of Naples to the north, overlooking the picturesque Campi Flegrei. The roads wind along slopes that descend towards the sea, lined with historic residences of great value. From here, you can contemplate Mount Vesuvius in all its grandeur, reflected in the gulf in an image of rare beauty. This is the most representative view of Naples, with Castel dell'Ovo rising along the coast and the Sorrento peninsula watching over it in the distance. To enjoy this view from the inside, you can walk along Via Caracciolo to Via Partenope. An electric tuk-tuk will take you to Castel dell'Ovo and the picturesque Borgo Marinari. Piazza Bovio, known locally as Piazza Borsa, is dominated by imposing buildings and the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II. Piazza del Municipio, one of the largest squares in Europe and fundamental to the city, is adorned by Bernini's Fountain of Neptune and Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino), which stands with the port and Vesuvius in the background. Piazza Trieste e Trento is home to the San Carlo Theater and the Galleria Umberto I (break with typical Neapolitan street food). Piazza del Plebiscito, with the Royal Palace and the Royal Pontifical Basilica of St. Francis of Paola, is one of the most significant examples of neoclassical architecture in Italy. The Spanish Quarter shows the authentic face of Naples, with its characteristic low buildings overlooked by many "pagan saints," Totò, Pino Daniele, Eduardo, and the holiest of all, "El Dios" Diego Armando Maradona, with a small square entirely dedicated to him. Corso Vittorio Emanuele offers another breathtaking view of the city and takes us to the top of the Vomero hill, where the imposing medieval structure of Castel Sant'Elmo and the famous Certosa di San Martino stand out, with its cloister, museum displaying works of great value, and terraced gardens from which to admire the view that spans and embraces the entire city of Naples. The tour includes a stop in Fiorenzano to taste some of the typical delicacies of Neapolitan street food. You can choose between: 1) Pizza a Portafoglio + 5 pieces of fried food + soft drink 2) Cuoppo Frittura 12 pieces + soft drink 3) Frittatina di Pasta + 5 pieces of fried food + soft drink
