This popular 8-hour itinerary takes you to see the most interesting sites of western Sicily. On This Tour you’ll visit and explore Segesta, a Greek archaeological site. Travel to Nubia and the Salt Pans in Trapani, and admire the Sicilian coast and natural landscapes en route. You’ll also stop at Erice, a medieval hilltop town. Enjoy spectacular views throughout the day. All of the sites are relatively near Palermo, meaning that you’ll have plenty of time to explore each of them. This itinerary is also known as the Elimians's Road, named for the Elimians who were among the first inhabitants of this part of Sicily.

Get on board, we'll take you to Segesta, one of the most important archaeological sites of ancient Greece in Sicily. We leave from Piazza Verdi 59 in Palermo at 1:30 PM. At 2:30 PM we arrive at this extraordinary place which, in freedom, you can visit for the entire afternoon. The Archaeological Park of Segesta is located on the site of the most important Elymian city in Sicily. According to authoritative sources, this population has Trojan origins, while archaeological data denote an insular origin. The entrance ticket to the Archaeological Park (not included) is paid on-site. The return to Palermo is scheduled for 5:00 PM with arrival in the city an hour and a quarter later. Driving time 1 hour to Segesta, stop in Segesta Archaeological Park for 2.5 hours, and 1 hour driving time to return to Piazza Verdi, 59.

I am Liliana, I will welcome you at the former Florio factory, taking a dip in the past, where under the ancient porch you will find a kitchen, with all the fresh and seasonal raw materials of our company that we will use together in the preparation of dishes. You will learn to prepare at least two appetizers, such as eggplant caponata or arancine. Without machines, exactly as my mother taught me and before my grandmother, we will prepare the fresh pasta with Perciasacchi flour of ancient wheat produced by us, and its dressing for example almond pesto. You can not miss the preparation of a Sicilian dessert, such as fresh ricotta cassatelle. During the day we will also use the aromatic herbs of our garden, such as mint and basil for delicious tomato bruschetta. In this magical setting, where time seems to have stopped, we will find ourselves at the table to share steaming dishes, intoxicating with our white and red wines, browsing among the possible combinations. At the end of the lesson you can take with you everything that we prepare together.

Baglio Florio, nestled in the countryside of Alcamo DOC, is a place where time seems to have stood still. Here, many things remain unchanged from the days of the Florio family. During the tour, visitors can admire the Distillery Room, the furnaces used for producing cooked must, and the grape-crushing tanks. Through a rail system inside the baglio, wine was loaded. It’s a place where you can still feel the toil of the workers and the charm of industrial archaeology. The story of the Florio family continues today through the Adamo family, represented by Vincenzo and Liliana. The vineyards leading to the baglio offer breathtaking views and a unique atmosphere. The tasting of fine wines completes the experience, blending past and present in a glass of wine.
