The highlight of our trip to Budapest!! Paddleboarding down the Danube was amazing! We easily got public transport from the centre to the starting location and finished right in the heart of Budapest. We paddled right past the Parliament building perfectly at golden hour and always felt safe and secure with our guides. The boards provided were amazing and most of the river was not too busy to be worried about other boats and river users around and about. I bought my phone along with me in a waterproof case so I could take photos but the guides also took plenty of photos both individually and in groups to make sure you can remember this amazing experience. I would recommend to everyone coming to Budapest!

Amazing! I totally recommend it! It’s a bit hard for a first-timer to learn how to paddle and the board is also very heavy. But once you get the hang of it, it’s really fun and relaxing even. Fanni (the guide) was super helpful and supportive and I wouldn’t have done it without her. It was very hard for me at first and all I wanted was to go back and give the board and paddles to her, but she kept supporting and encouraging me and eventually I managed to do it! The whole activity is about 2 and half hours and the tour guide takes photos of each one at the parliament. And honestly, it was a highlight on its own. Overal, I recommend it! 👌🏼🇭🇺

Full description

Start with a short introduction to your equipment and how to paddle your board. Then you'll get out on the river to enjoy nature, the sun, the fresh air, and the calm waters of the Danube River.

On this tour, you will be going on a sunset trip on your stand up paddle (SUP) board from Lupa Island all the way to Romai. You will be able to see some of the city’s hidden parts from the water and enjoy the sound of nature as you float by.

This is also the perfect time to meet new people. The water is clean and the temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius during summer, so during the tour, it’s also possible to go for a short swim if you wish.

Please arrive to the starting point at least 15 minutes before the event.

I’d recommend this to anyone. They take you all the way down the Danube into central Budapest past the castle and government building. The tour guide was great and lets you have a good laugh.
