Full description

Enjoy a 3-hour guided tour on Art Nouveau architecture and Victor Horta. The tour will be led by a local Brussels guide.

Discover the most beautiful and impressive Art Nouveau projects by architects who mastered the art of combining iron, glass, wood and stone into an infinite variety of different forms.

The tour starts at the Grand-Place at 10:00. From there you’ll take the tram to the Bailli district, the famous village within the city that has the largest number of Art Nouveau buildings in Brussels. The program ends in front of the Victor Horta Museum.

Enjoyed this activity and would highly recommend it to Brussels visitors. I have learned a lot about Art Nouveau style in architecture and design. I didn’t realize it had strong Belgian roots. Maria presented us with lots of facts and print outs of images of interiors of the buildings (we could observe buildings from outside only, so pictures were very helpful when she was talking about interior design). You start spotting details that otherwise wouldn’t have noticed. Very educational. I would recommend to pre-order tickets to Victor Horta home museum to be able to visit it right after the tour ends. It was a great ending of this tour for me, many things made more sense after Maria’s excursion.
