Bogota Cable Car

This is definitely one of the most brand new and original tour experiences in Bogotá that you can visit nowadays by Transmicable (cable car)! We will go to the Paraíso neighborhood in Ciudad Bolívar, an area of the city that is working hard to be the new scene for local inclusive social tourism. We will start at Portal Tunal to live the “Transmicable Experience”, a mobility solution for the habitants of the area and a new opportunity to discover a magical artistic and colorful territory constructed by local talent. As a social tour we involved local guys who believe in tourism as a tool of transformation. The local guide, the break dancer, the mom who prepares the snacks, the local artist who does the souvenirs, are part of the community that along this beautiful process have learnt about how to share the valuable things they are and have among a hostile panorama surrounded by social and economical conflicts. We have developed a walking tour in three areas of Paraíso: “el mirador”, an amazing viewpoint of Bogotá from the south-west side; “Parque Illimani”, a real social infrastructure with parks and soccer fields, and “La Serpiente”, a colorful 120 steps stair to appreciate the size of Ciudad Bolívar, plus the “huerta”, a vegetable garden promoted by local families. Starting from Hotel / house. To go forward to the south of Bogotá away of the touristic bogota areas. Then you will face and visit the view point from where you can appreciate the spectacular view of Bogotá city. Afterwards our guide will bring you to the graffiti street and to make a short walk through the “Paraiso neighborhood” to see how this area has growth and feeling sensations of the local life. We will begin with a tour of the streets, where we will find places of cultural interest such as the Gold Museum, where pre-Columbian objects are exhibited, the Botero Museum, which exhibits works of international art, and the variety of exotic restaurants that the city offers. In addition to locating and knowing the Congress of the republic, the Casa de Nariño, the Palace of Justice, the Museum of Regional Costumes of Colombia or Casa de Manuelita Sáenz, the Museum of Colonial Art, the Teatro Colón, the San Carlos Palace, the Casa Rafael Pombo and the Military Museum. We will go to the top of the hill where we will find the image of the fallen Lord of Monserrate, made in 1640 by the artist Pedro de Lugo Albarracín. For many Catholic faithful, this statue of the Lord is very miraculous and represents a special encounter with God.
