You will get some truly spectacular views of Hong Kong’s skyline. • Victoria Peak: Fantastic views over the city and you can take the historic Peak Tram. • Lan Kwai Fong: The famous party district with a myriad of restaurants and bars. Some examples of HIDDEN SECRETS we can visit: • Shek O beach: one of the nicest beaches • Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens: An actual oasis within Hong Kong’s urban jungle. • Man Mo temple: Man Mo Temple is a mid-nineteenth-century historical building and a declared monument. • Nan Lian Garden: This public park is so leafy and peaceful it looks like an illustration from the Tang Dynasty. • Tai Kwun: Tai Kwun is a massive independent art space in the heart of Central and one of our city's biggest creative hubs. • PMQ: The transformation of the former Police Married Quarters into a centre for all things creative and design-based is one of the largest, most ambitious conservation projects in Hong Kong. An exciting mix of creative enterprises can be found at PMQ. • Hong Kong Wetland Park: This wetland reserve is home to a diverse range of wetland plants and animals, from mangroves to rare species of birds. • Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden: The farm was originally established to aid poor farmers in the New Territories but has since morphed into a nature conservation centre. This morning outing takes you out of the urban into the green hills for a bit of quiet, a workout, and spectacular views. Included on the way is an introduction to an ordinary fresh food street market and small shops in an ordinary neighbourhood of Hong Kong. Itinerary: Start this half-day outing to Hong Kong’s Dragon’s Back trail early in the morning to get the first light of the day. Take in the atmosphere of a local wet market, and experience life of ordinary Hong Kongers as they go about their daily activities. The hike commences along a lovely cool path through shady groves of bamboo and lush woodland, accompanied by birdsong. Emerge into open hillsides of the spectacular Shek O Country Park, often covered with wild azaleas, bell flowers or rose myrtle. The rugged spinal ridge of Dragon's Back offers breathtaking views of distant Islands, the coastlines, and beaches. The trail ends at the road to nearby Shek O Village and Beach. You may transfer back to Central with the guide or decide to explore Shek O on your own.
