This was an amazing day trip all over the Big Island! We went to a coffee farm and got to sample delicious Kona coffee, saw the Southernmost point of the US, went to a black sand beach, explored Volcano National Park, and learned a ton about Hawaiian/Big Island history and culture. We also went to Mauna Kea for stargazing, but it was a cloudy night and didn't get to see very much. Aaron was our tour guide and he was really informative and respectful of everyone. He knew everything about everything! Hawaiian plants, history, culture, language, mountains, volcanoes, etc. Lunch and dinner were included, but due to dietary restraints, I brought my own food which was fine. I would have liked the option to pay less since I was bringing my own food, but that's literally my only complaint about this amazing trip. Definitely recommend!

Overall it was an amazing tour. The tour guide, Felix was a wonderful guy. He worked very hard and took care of all the details. It was our first day on the big island and we were very happy to see the good places of the island. The lunch and dinner were also good.

Full description

Discover the Big Island in Hawaii on a guided tour of its highlights including the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park at twilight. Enjoy the scenic views of the area, admire the starry night sky, learn about local history and wildlife, and enjoy some dinner.

Start with pickup from one of the meeting points on the island. Set off on your adventure, beginning with a stop at a Kona coffee farm. Walk through a lava tube and orchards with your guide to learn about the harvesting and milling process while sampling a warm cup of Kona-grown coffee.

Continue the tour through scenic landscapes, including a stop to admire the view of Kealakekua Bay and South Point, the southernmost point of the United States. Relax at Punalu’u Black Sand Beach and look out for Hawaii’s green sea turtles, from the shore.

Next, head to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park as you travel along the Chain of Craters Road. Learn about volcanic eruptions and current and past lava flow sites. Visit the Kilauea Iki Lookout, Lava Tube, steam vents, Halema’uma’u Crater, and the crater rim trail.

After enjoying dinner at a nearby café, return to the park to view the lava flows at night and stargaze. Depending on weather conditions, observe stars, planets, galaxies, and more, before heading back to your pickup point.
