Berchtesgaden Day trips

I loved my 2 tours! We went with Walter in an eight person van to the salt mine. Walter was a wealth of information. He gave us information most of the way to the salt mine. The drive was gorgeous. He would tell us the names of the mountains and give us history of the area. Once we got to the salt mine it was a wonderful combination of fun (two slides and a ride across a lake inside the mountain) and educational. I knew nothing about salt mines before this trip. In the afternoon we did the Sound of Music tour. I never did catch the name of our tour guide, but he was fantastic! He was kind, polite, super fun, and informative. He brought a wonderful positive energy to the bus. He even brought in the driver as part of the entertainment. I would highly recommend this trip when you are visiting Salzburg.
