Traveled by speedboat so we got to see a lot firstly we went to the mangroves and saw turtles then the first beach on Saona. Spent a few hours here and had dinner which was incredible home made Dominican style before getting back on the boat and heading to the second beach which was a little more natural. We were given drinks and some snacks through out the day. On the way back we stopped to see the giant starfish and also got to snorkel it was amazing. You have to go to Saona if you come to DR
Watching the whales and spending time on the island beach was wonderful! The falls were pretty but they are crowded and it’s a far drive plus the horse ride - I would have preferred to spend more time on the beach
top! a bit of unnecessary waiting but the scenery and the experience are well worth this mini inconvenience. To do!
My trip was almost magical. The beaches were beautiful and the atmosphere was therapeutic and relaxing!
