Our journey begins at the Neuville-en-Condroz American Cemetery, where rows of white crosses pay tribute to thousands of U.S. soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. We then head to Bastogne, a key stronghold during the battle, where you'll visit McAuliffe Square and see an imposing M3 Sherman Tank—a symbol of Allied resilience. Next, we visit the Mardasson Memorial, a star-shaped monument honoring American soldiers. The nearby Bastogne War Museum (included) offers immersive 3D displays and powerful stories. Our tour also includes a visit to the German cemetery, before moving to the foxholes in Foy, once occupied by the 101st Airborne Division. This excursion provides an emotional and comprehensive tribute to all who served, connecting you deeply to this defining moment in WWII.

9AM Pick up from your Brussels hotel and drive towards Namur, the capital of Wallonia (1h) and see the Meuse valley. On the way, your driver-guide * will tell you about Belgium, about the Ardens and Wallonia. You will have a good introduction to the region, its culture, geography, history as well as an introduction to the Battle of the Bulge. In Bastogne picture stop on the Mc Aulif square (see Sherman tank and bust of Mc Aulif). Upon arrival at the War Museum free time for a snack lunch (not included). Audio-guided tour of the exhibition at the War Museum (2-3hours), see the Mardasson Memorial. Last but not least we walk to the Bois Jacques (forest of the Ardennes) to see the Foxholes dug by the Easy company soldiers. Note that the tour inside museum is with audio-guide and this self-guided tour is highly interactive . Here you will step back in time and experience the reality of the Battle of the Bulge. From the causes of the Battle to its dramatic consequences, you will be immersed in a highly interactive experience. 4pm Start driving back to Brussels (2h-drive from Bastogne). On this tour you will explore the history of one of the last decisive battles of World War II, the Battle of the Bulge. The private guide will follow the trail of the leader who secured the Allied victory, General George Patton, through some of the places where it happened. The day will start with a visit of the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial, the burial place of the US soldiers who died in the battle. General Patton, who died shortly after the war, was also buried there at his request. The tour then takes you to the General Patton Memorial Museum in Ettelbruck, the city Patton and his Third Army liberated on Christmas Day in 1944. The museum is a trove of historical exhibits and objects related to the battle and to Patton’s life. Further north, next to Wiltz, you will then visit the « Schumanseck Remembrance Trail ». This trail leads in the footsteps of a decisive encounter during the Battle of the Bulge: the breach of the German encirclement of Bastogne by American troops. Then the tour will continue to the site of the old Diekirch brewery where the National Museum of Military History is located at. This museum is considered one of the best for World War II knowledge. At the end of the day, you will be returned to your hotel.

In the historic center of Luxembourg, our guide will lead you to the cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Duke, and the lively Place d’Armes. In the downtown area, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the Kirchberg district, which houses several key European institutions. As you descend into the valley, you'll discover the Casemates trail, Neumünster Abbey, the ancient city walls, and the charming sites along the Alzette River. After enjoying some free time ( for lunch ) in Luxembourg, you'll continue your journey to the charming town of Dinant. Here, you'll explore the fifteenth-century Collegiate Church and the impressive citadel. Dinant, whose name is derived from the Celtic "Divo Nanto" meaning "Sacred Valley," is beautifully situated on the narrow banks of the River Meuse. This quaint town is famous as the birthplace of Leffe beer and Adolphe Sax, the saxophone inventor.

Experience a unique tour of the historic Battle of the Bulge sites, guided by a historian, who will not only take you to the museums but also let you explore a bit of the local culture and partake in a unique experience. If you would like us to do some research, for example about a relative who may have served in the area, please let us know ahead of time. All food and drinks are provided by us (lunch and snacks). We invite you to follow in the footsteps of one of the most important battles of the Second World War, in this guided historic tour over 2 days. We will take you to visit of the American cemetery of Henri-Chapelle where nearly 8000 soldiers are buried, continuing along the route taken by the Kampfgruppe Peiper, a unit infamous for the abuses it committed on its way near Malmedy after which it went to La Gleize where it had to abandon its tanks for lack of fuel and where one of those tanks is still visible. We will continue our visit to the Fraiture Barracks to discuss one of the many heroic acts carried out by American troops to slow down or halt the German advance at Parker's Crossroads. Finally, we will end the day with a final stop in Grandmenil where we can discover another remnant of this battle. On the second day of the visit, we will focus on Bastogne and its surroundings, on the fierce resistance of the 101st American Airborne Division and its Easy Company made famous by the Band of Brothers series from Steven Spielberg.
