Embark on a full-day tour from Brussels to immerse yourself in the scenario of the legendary Battle of the Bulge. Visit the mythical places of the battle on the Belgian and Luxembourg sides. Discover the true story of the Battle of the Bulge, also called the Offensive of the Ardennes, and enjoy a unique one-day trip with a passionate guide and transport.

Depart from Brussels and head to the Bois Jacques, mentioned in the TV-Show Band of Brothers. Then head to the Mardasson monument and enjoy the panoramical view. After that, leave for Luxembourg and visit the Schumansheck, the site of the deadliest battle in Luxembourg territory. See the forest where several thousand American soldiers fought. Depart for Chaumont to learn more about the offensive of Patton's army to liberate Bastogne.

Finally, head to the Battle of Bastogne to visit MacAuliffe Square and the Patton monument. Enjoy the Bastogne Barracks where MacAuliffe said his legendary "NUTS". Take a break in a traditional Belgian fries restaurant for lunch (food not included in the price).

We had a great time on our Battle of the Bulge day trip. Our guide, Gino, picked us up as scheduled at our hotel. We chatted about life in Europe & in the US, how they are alike & different. First stop was the Bois Jacques. There was a heavy frost & it was very cold, just as we imagined how the 101 Airborne huddled in the foxholes 80 years ago. Next, the Mardasson Monument & Battle of the Bulge Museum. We would’ve missed the memorial crypt at the monument if Gino didn’t call us down to look at the three beautiful mosaic niches below. We then drove to the woods in Chaumont, Luxembourg & walked among the American foxholes & German fortifications in the old rock quarry there. My husband & daughter preferred this site to the Bois Jacques, but I found both of them fascinating and sobering. We had a delicious traditional French/Belgian lunch at Wagon Leo - so good! Our last stop was the Bastogne War Rooms. There was so much to see that we opted out of the Patton Museum & 1 monument site.
