The views were breathtaking! Go the chairlift to the lookout!! The Staff were super friendly and informative. Not as busy as the gondola in Banff. Worth every bit of the cost!

This is a nice long ride. So many gondolas just go up in a minute or two or at least it seems like it. This one goes up, spins around and keeps going. Then we went on to the ski lift which went farther up. Amazing views. Be forewarned - it’s windy and and cold up there.

Enjoy a scenic ride on the Banff Sunshine Sightseeing Gondola and Standish Sightseeing Chairlift. Take 2 breathtaking rides to the elevation of 7,825 ft. Prepare to be amazed by incredible views of the surrounding Canadian Rocky Mountains and their crystal clear alpine lakes.

The Banff Sunshine Gondola fits 8 passengers in the cabin, allowing you to enjoy the ride with your family and friends. Start at the base at an elevation of 5,442 ft and enjoy a 22-minute gondola ride to the top of Sunshine Village at 7,083 ft. Once there, take a hike to explore this premier ski resort and take in the views of the valley and its wildlife.

From the Sunshine Village, take a 8-minute ride on the Standish Chairlift to an elevation 7,825 ft — the highest lift-accessed sightseeing elevation in Banff National Park. Admire the 360-degree, breathtaking views of Banff National Park and the majestic Canadian Rockies.

Please arrive at Sunshine Meadows, at 1 Sunshine access Rd Trailhead at Sunshine Village. The Sunshine Village is only 5 miles west of Banff on the Trans-Canada #1 Highway. There is plenty of parking. Free shuttle bus from/to Banff departs every hour from: Rundlestone Lodge, Delta Royal, Canadian Lodge, High Country Inn, Ptarmigan Inn, Train Station
