I had a fabulous Easter Sunday walking tour with Elijah. We toured a small section of the CBD. We started the tour at The City Market. Here you will find everything needed for gifts to bring back from your travels. Personally, I loved the selection of beaded earrings and necklaces. We walked through the fish market then to Uhuru Park. This park has it all. You can ride horses, rent an ATV, motorized cars for kids, bouncing houses. There is a small lake and you can rent pedal boats. There was also a concert happening. From here we went to Kenyatta Tower. We walked all 27 flights of stairs. It was worthy it for the view. Here at the top, you will have time to cool down if you decide to take the stairs. Elijah was an amazing guide. One thing to note, if you take an Uber to the meeting point, be prepared for Uber drivers to not want to pick you up in CBD. 2 Ubers cancelled and then one didn’t want to pick me up unless I paid off the app. Have cash in case.

I had Michael and he was amazing. He made me feel so safe; as a solo female traveller and my first time in Africa, this was wonderful. He gave a me true flavour of the city, which was exactly what I was looking for and was extremely knowledgeable on the history. The tour went at a nice pace, he didn't rush anything and I stopped to take photos etc have bathroom breaks as needed. I'm really glad I took this tour as I wouldn't have ventured out in Nairobi alone. I can highly recommend to other travellers wanting a flavour of the city.

Musa was our local and my task was unusual as I wanted to retrace some of my parents history in Kenya. Musa was very understanding and enthusiastic to help. We headed of with an uber and covered off all of my wish list. This included searching through an overgrown cemetery. Musa spoke to some locals who joined in the search for a specific grave. The day with Musa will remain a unique and memorable experience of our visit to Nairobi. Musa is highly recommended.
