Visit Hydra the scenic way with this private day trip from Athens. The excursion includes a relaxing coastal drive along the Saronic Gulf.Use your time on Hydra to shop, sunbathe, eat, or explore as you wish. Hydra is also very interesting from an architectural point of view, as a number of luxury residences, built by Italian craftsmen, are scattered on the island. The grand houses of the local fighters for the Greek War of Independence (1821) are now museums. If you are interested in religious monuments, there are some 300 churches and 6 monasteries you can visit on the island. You will enjoy strolling about the streets of the picturesque Hydra town and the harbour. Explore the countryside, while drinking in the amazing views over the Aegean Sea. Swim in deep blue waters and taste traditional dishes in the local tavernas. Walking about the island is a true pleasure as it is car-free.

The driver was very kind and informative. We were a family and felt very comfortable and friendly. Hydra is a trip that everyone should do. There are 2 options, the water taxi which is more expensive and the ferry which is cheaper but also has limited routes. All perfect, I recommend them
