Amazing experience. My sister and I only had 5 days in Egypt and spent 3 on this cruise. Absolutely recommend to anyone. Luxor is beautiful and you get to see so much of it on the final day (although be prepared because it is a long day!!!) . Definitely do the hot air balloon add on, but again, day 3 is 12 hours long starting at 4am. But day 3 was the most beautiful day and day we learned about the culture of Egypt the most (even more than in Giza I think, where we started our trip). Our Luxor guide, Shaimaa, was the sweetest! The ship is very nice, the room is actually so nice, big bathroom (bigger than the American cruise I took years ago). The upper deck is lovely and there was a free show the second night (belly dancing and tanoura). All the cruise staff are SO FRIENDLY! Food on the ship is a buffet and has gluten free and veggie options if needed. Also shoutout to Kero, who works for Nice Tours and carried our bags half a mile to our hotel on our last day.
The excursions are amazing! Hit and miss with some of the guides, had some amazing ones and some who gave a 5 minute whistle stop tour and then asks for tips. The amazing guides made up for them however, shout out to Remon who took me around Luxor at the end of the trip! Lovely fella and knowledgeable. The cruise staff are amazing, they could give you a bit more of a induction when you get on board, just got taken to my room and I had to figure the rest out along the way but lovely otherwise. They could do with fixing the door locks also, key took about 4/5 attempts each time to enter the room. An evening of entertainment would have been a nice touch but what was provided fell short or what I’d actually call entertainment with a ‘party’ being put on felt more like a high school disco. Overall satisfactory but definitely some improvements that could be made to actually make it a travelling experience per se.
