Carmela sent a text a day ahead to introduce herself and to remind us to bring water, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and good walking shoes. All a must! She was very positive and energetic! The walks in Entrevaux and Annot were challenging with the long walk in Annot being the most challenging. There were a lot of rocks and in-grown tree roots and the path was mostly uphill. The views were spectacular and the journey was rewarding but the trail is not for the faint of heart. The difficulty level was not quite so evident from the description. After a vigorous walk in Entrevaux and lunch, more than half of our group stayed in the town of Annot and had food and drinks while the rest of group decided they were up for the challenge for the long walk. There was good teamwork so I could make it up to the top at Annot, but there were times when I questioned the wisdom of my going. The group in total was small so that helped to make it a little less intimidating.
