Day 2: Hot Air Balloon & Luxor West Bank & Temple of Karnak Rise early in the morning for a spectacular hot air balloon ride over Luxor, and take in the stunning views. After landing, head to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings. Stroll around the complex and see the tombs and resting places of Egyptian kings such as Merneptah. Travel by a modern, air-conditioned car to Alexandria, and upon your arrival, first explore Kom El-Deka . Continue to the catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Day 2: In the morning drive to Alexandria, and upon your arrival explore the area of Kom El-Deka, once an affluent residential area in Greco-Roman times. Continue on to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. After the catacombs head to a local restaurant for lunch before going to the Great Library of Alexandria in Alexandria, which was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. Your last stop in Alexandria is the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15-century defensive fortress by the sea. From here you will be taken back to your hotel in Cairo. Day 3: Drive to the airport in the morning and hop on your flight to Luxor. Upon your arrival in Luxor, your driver will be waiting for you outside the airport. From the airport head to the East Bank to visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. After exploring the temples, enjoy a felucca ride on the river before being dropped off at the cruise ship where you will stay for the next 3 nights. Day 4: Wake up early for a hot air balloon ride over Luxor. After landing your guide will be waiting for you to head to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings. Then move on to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Conclude your day back on the ship with dinner. Back to the Cruise ship to enjoy your lunch on board and admire the view of the Nile when the ship starts sailing to the next stop the temple of Kom Ombo, One of the most unusual temples of Ancient Egypt, The temple is unique for its dedication to two different deities: the local crocodile-headed god Sobek, your guide will be waiting for your there to learn more and more about the unusual temple, then back to the ship to continue the journey in the Nile.
