This trip was excellent from start to finish. Our guide Siggy was very informative and passionate about his homeland, which goes a long way. The landscape is so varied that it changes completely every stop! We were lucky to be offered a choice between spending time at the Mývatn Baths as planned or going to Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe - apparently in the dead of winter this is not normally on the list and we did need crampons to walk there from the car park but it was a worthwhile visit. Returned home exhausted but absolutely delighted with our experience! It's an expensive trip for most people (for us too) and it was worth every penny. Do NOT miss out on this tour!!

The guide was very knowledgeable and even taught us how to get the best out of our phone cameras. The site he took us to, combined with his guidance, gave us a great view of the Northern Lights, and excellent photos. Well worth the money.

We managed to pick a day when the sea was lively and didn’t see a whale - however still glad we travelled from Akureyri for this small boat trip. We were thankful for the warm overalls and hot chocolate provided!

After seeing the whale, they gave us drinks and bread, which was very thoughtful and kind.
