Embark on a tour that takes you to the most beautiful places in North Iceland. Visit the magnificent Godafoss waterfall, the Asbyrgi canyon, and the Dettifoss waterfall. Explore the Lake Myvatn district and see the Dimmiborgir lava maze.

Start your tour with a visit to the magnificent Godafoss waterfall. Continue to the Asbyrgi canyon, where it is believed that it is formed when Sleipnir, the horse of the god Odin, touched the ground with one of his eight legs.

Continue to the Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Then, visit the Lake Myvatn district and see the Dimmiborgir lava maze.

Next, go to Grjótagjá, where the tectonic plates make an enormous crack in the surface of the earth and a small hot spring lagoon is nested in a cave.

Visit the Hverir geothermal area where you can experience the bubbling mud pits.

There were only my husband and I on the tour that day, but even so, our driver-guide was very enthusiastic and took us around for the whole day. Through his explanations, we could feel his familiarity with and love for the land where he grew up. Following his explanations, we learned a lot about the local area and immersed ourselves in the beautiful scenery and his fascinating stories. We were very satisfied.
