NYC & Hudson Valley: Autumn Hudson River Towns Tour

NYC & Hudson Valley: Autumn Hudson River Towns Tour

Our tour begins in the center of Midtown. From Grand Central we will take Metro North up to Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. There we will explore this historic area and you will learn about its most famous resident: Washington Irving. Trace the path of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. We will visit the Old Dutch Burial Ground and Church. From there, we will take the train up to the Hudson Highlands where will visit the charming village of Cold Spring. You will experience views of West Point, home of the US Military Academy and the sheer cliffs of Storm King. You will have the chance to explore the shops and then we will make our way up to Beacon, perhaps the hottest city on the Hudson. This history of Beacon mirrors the many of the inland ports along the Hudson, but has recently undergone a renaissance. Explore this historic and interesting place and take advantage of burgeoning food and beer scene. During our journey on the train, you will hear about many of the important and historic places along the way. You will get the opportunity to enjoy changing of the leaves which are particularly stunning along this route. In order to allow for maximum flexibility for you, our tour will conclude in Beacon, but you have the option to stay the afternoon and take a later train, take the train to another village, or head back to NYC conclusion of the tour. We will assist you!
