This tour was amazing. It was on my bucket list ever since watching "The Longest Day" in 1970. Zoltan was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the actual invasion, not just what was portrayed in the movies. Our bus ride was comfortable and our driver very skilled. They timed the rest stops perfectly for some of the elderly in our group. The 2 Gas stations were very clean and had everything from food & drink to jackets. The one on the return trip was fairly new, 2 levels and had a McDonalds. If the D-Day Beaches are on your list of sites to visit while in France, I definitely recommend this tour. And ask for Zoltan, a former Hungarian Army Officer who spent some time in the USA in Virginia.
It’s difficult to express my emotions of what I experienced first hand on this trip. Exploring the ruins left behind from the aftermath of D-Day. To walking on those very beaches of Normandy where brave souls sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom, liberating a continent, and ultimately changing the world. Every American at one point in their life should make the journey to Normandy. We owe the high resolve that the cause for which they died shall live. 🇺🇸
