Our Small Group day tour to Unesco world heritage Dolomites Mountains very early departure is to guarantee a better experience in an area that year after year has seen a growing number of visitors . Leaving early will allow us to beat the crowds and enjoy an overall more rewarding experience. The tour features the famous Dolomites town of Cortina, the awe-inspiring Tre Cime di Lavaredo that you will see from various scenic viewpoints, and the beautiful mountain Lakes. Spend plenty of time at lake Misurina, where you’ll have the opportunity to walk around the lake, stop at one of the nice restaurants around the lake or in summer take a cable lift up to Col De Varda ( not included in the price- about 13 € per person) mountain hut for walking opportunities and offering enchanting views over Lake Misurina and the famous Dolomites mountain ranges, such as Sorapis and Mount Cristallo. Enjoy numerous scenic stops at panoramic viewpoints throughout the day before returning back to Venice at about 6.00pm In Winter months we will feature Cortina, Enchanting Lake Braies and the beautiful village of San Candido right on the border with Austria. Christhmas markets in the village to be enjoyed until beginning of January 2024.

We drive to the picturesque lake Auronzo, passing through enchanting mountain villages. Continue your trip towards lake Misurina, here you will have the chance to stroll around the lake with an optional lunch break and admire the mountain peaks of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and spectacular backdrop of Sorapis and Marmole. Otherwise take the panoramic chairlift to reach “Col del Varda” at 2106 meters (tickets not included, to pay on spot) and breathe the fresh mountain air, it will reward you with yet more unforgettable views of the Dolomites. After lunch (not included), we will finally arrive at the last stop: Cortina d'Ampezzo, nicknamed the “Pearl of the Dolomites,” you will have approximately 30 minutes free time to stroll around the town, and take in the picturesque views of the mountains. Cortina d’Ampezzo will host the 2026 Winter Olympics Games, the famous international multi sport event, also know as Milano - Cortina 2026. With eyes full of beauty and cameras full of memories to cherish, we will then catch our car ride back to Venice. Climb aboard a spacious van at the meeting point in Venice and become quickly immersed in the breathtaking region of Veneto, just outside the crowded city. Drive through the ever-changing scenery of the mountains, spending some time in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the ‘Queen of the Dolomites’. Walk around Lake Misurina, the ‘Pearl of the Dolomites’, and enjoy a splendid view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the area's representative peaks. On the way back, drive through the Prosecco road, which houses the finest vineyards and wineries producing the highest quality Proseccos. Begin your Dolomites day tour by getting picked up at Venice's Piazzale Roma, the large square in the city center. Drive for about 90 minutes to your first stop at Pieve di Cadore, a charming historic town with a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the lake of Centro Cadore. Then, go to Auronzo and enjoy a photo stop at the lake dam where you can sometimes see the water rushing through gates. Afterward, enjoy a long stop at Lake Misurina, also known as the “Pearl of the Dolomites”. Walk around the gorgeous lake and have lunch at a restaurant serving local food. In the summer you can rent a small boat to get around the lake or ride the panoramic chairlift to the Col de Varda Viewpoint (not included). Have a walk through the most prestigious and well-known street of the Dolomites, the Corso Italia pedestrian area. Get dropped off back in Venice at the end of your tour.

After being picked up from your hotel in Cortina, start the tour by driving along the historical old Roman road SR48 which runs through the Dolomites. Receive a map with your itinerary of the day to better understand the trip and to remember it. Encounter the first mountains above the Cortina valley including the Cristallo, Pomagagnon, Sorapiss, and Antelao, then Becco di Mezzodì, Tofana, 5 Torri and Croda da Lago. Admire the views and take photos. Throughout the tour, your driver will be happy to accommodate stops for pictures and provide information about the mountains, history, and traditions of the area. Continue on until you reach Passo Falzarego where you will have the possibility to board the Lagazuoi cable car (extra cost to be paid on spot) which offers amazing views from its terrace.  Learn about how this area has an important WW1 history due to the struggles between Italians and Austrians for territory gain. Head on through Passo Valparola with views of Marmolada Glacier and Alta Badia Valley. Then, drive down to San Cassiano and Corvara and up again to Passo Gardena facing the square-shaped Sella group of mountains and stop for typical lunch (extra cost to be paid on spot) Go further through Passo Sella facing the Sassolungo group of mountains and Marmolada again. Arrive at the top of the Passo Pordoi and enjoy the Terrace of the Dolomites cable car (if timings permits - extra cost to be paid on spot). Drive further through the scenic Passo Giau facing Croda da Lago mountain. Drive down back into the Cortina Valley where you will be dropped off back at your hotel.
