Discover the unparalleled beauty in the Clos Normand and Japanese Water gardens of Claude Monet, in Giverny. You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into one of his Impressionist paintings as you walk among the willow trees and cross the little green bridge over his pond of water lilies. Then you’ll explore the inside of his colorful family home, getting some unique access to whether the artists actually lived and worked.  After visiting Claude Monet’s home and gardens, stop at his tomb to pay your respects to this great man.  Afterward, visit the town of Auvers-Sur-Oise, where you’ll focus on the troubled life and unique Post-Impressionist art of Vincent Van Gogh. You’ll see the boarding house where Vincent lived the last 3-months of his life. Next, explore the little town and surrounding area, which inspired 77 of his paintings.  Visit the gothic “Church of Auvers” and walk in the actual “Wheat Field with Crows.” Seeing these places with your own eyes will help you to understand why Vincent Van Gogh found so much inspiration in Auvers-Sur-Oise. Do you know that just 30mn on train from Paris, you can be totally immersed in the Nature ? During your stay in Paris, how about doing something different and taking a hike in the most beautiful forests, the most scenic countryside, and the most typical villages. This experience, in small group of less than 10 participants, brings you in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh, the famous Dutch impressionist painter. He died there in 1890 and is buried in the village along with his brother Theo. Our walk will take you through the city of Pontoise, the historical capital of the Vexin français, along the Oise river and in the quaint village of Auvers sur Oise, where Van Gogh painted his 80 last masterworks. I will take you to the exact locations where he painted some of these. Along the way, I will tell you the incredible story of his life so you can understand better what a genius he was. WARNING: Please be advised that this is a 12km (7.5miles) hike with some light hills. You need to be fit enough if you want to enjoy the walk. That means you should be able to walk at least 5km (3 miles) at a good pace (at least 4km/h or 2.5 miles/h) and without rest. The walk is designed to last about 5 hours with many breaks. After being picked up from your hotel, you will depart in a luxury vehicle for your one hour drive to Giverny, where you enjoy Claude Monet's home and gardens.  You arrive early at Claude Monet's House and Gardens, a Norman orchard that Monet turned into a lavish property full of colorful flowers and other vegetation, including cherry trees, tulips, roses, wisteria, weeping willows, and irises. This attraction includes the following: Monet’s Home: visit the painter's house where he lived with his big family. The yellow dining room, his first workshop, and the kitchen are especially memorable.The Flower Garden: every season and every month, flower beds change, as do tulips, hyacinths, iris, nasturtiums. At any time of the year, find the flower landscapes dear to the impressionist master.The Water Garden: the main subject of painting at the end of his life, Monet liked to spend time there and observe the variations of light and the reflections of his garden on the pond, famous for its water lilies.The Japanese Bridge: see the famous little green bridge crossing his pond with your own eyes. Your guide will then suggest several different options for a nice lunch in the charming village of Giverny.  In the afternoon, head to the town of Auvers-sur-Oise, where Vincent van Gogh spent the final days of his life. See the wheat fields and church that he painted, and visit his room at Auberge Ravoux, where he died. You'll also see the twin graves of van Gogh and his brother, before you head back to Paris
