You could go straight to the entrance. No queuing with us, we were there in the early afternoon, there is probably more rush in the evening. Good guidance system through the building, staff try hard, are very friendly. We were able to go through the security check and up to the observation deck with 2 small children, including trolleys and food, drinks,... 2 large backpacks... Nobody said anything.

Enjoyble, great view, was almost going to leave without visiting the outer viewing area as was not made aware this was available to visitors. We found the staff at the door were very rude to visitors queueing at the front entrance. They were shouting at us about staying in line and the time thet would allow us access. We were blown away by this experience. This is a real exhibition experience now, very well organized and I would highly recommend going, it's much better than years ago experience. The building is renovated and beautiful. It is a really nice exhibition. This was a very joyful experience and awesome views from the 86th and 102nd floors. Must see views. We went into the Empire State Building many years ago and basically all they did was hurdle you to the elevator, take you up to the observation deck, give you about 10-15 minutes to look around and hurdle you back into the elevator to take you back down. Those sad days are gone, this is an outing that the entire family will enjoy! Bravo to the new owner and his staff of this historical landmark building.
