What People Are Saying About Ellis Island

Amazing, great guide David full of information. Well worth doing!!

Well organised tour. David the guide, good sense of humour and full of knowledge. We went over New Year and it was freezing, on the outer deck, do wrap up, well worth the cold though! Came home with some great photos.

Awesome, so glad we spent extra money for the guide. Dianna was great

Awesome, so glad we spent extra money for the guide. Dianna was FABULOUS. She brought our attention to the most important and interesting things and she had additional information. Highly recommend.

Knowledgeable and entertaining guide. A great time!

In addition to singing beautifully, reciting a sonnet, and telling corny jokes, Matthew proved a knowledgeable guide. He did a great job putting me in the mind of the immigrants passing through Ellis Island.

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island: 4-Hour Guided Tour Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer, 12/31/2016

Was a tour I had been wanting for a long time.

It was a place I had flown over many times, but never had the opportunity to see it up close with a tour. This trip made that possible. It was amazing going into the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty and seeing the making of that great piece of artwork. Our guide, Cody, covering every bit of information he could share with us, did so in an interesting manner, he made learning history fun. He did the same for The Ellis Island Tour. What a building, and what it stood for , once inside, I had such an emotional feeling of all the vibrations left by the ancestors. Passing through there after a long journey, not knowing what awaits you, the uncertainty of their future and the courage and stamina it took to get there. They are the foundation of this great country. Thank God for them.

One of the highlights of our short stay in NYC

An absolute highlight for us and would thoroughly recommend a guided tour. Rachel, our tour guide, was superb - funny, organised and very knowledgeable. Would absolutely recommend this trip but make sure you catch the early ferry - later ferries to the island looked extremely busy. You will want to add another 1.5 hours to the trip atleast, to get the most out of Ellis Island.
