We will start this hiking from Ella town at 3:30 in the morning. We will walk along a railway for 1 km and will start hiking from that point on. Sunrise will happen around 6 and it's so beautiful before that time. Hike doesn't take 1:40h, we will take some brakes along the way. To catch a breath, To have a sip of water, listen to the sounds coming from the nature, to capture the moment (ELLA EXCURSIONS TOURS has an eye for photography) and to look up to the sky searching for shooting stars. Once we reach to the top you can just sit and relax, try some yoga or meditation while waiting for the sunrise. I will never rush you to leave the place. So when you have enough of it, we will come back in the same way. Will stop by at Kithalella waterfall. (not a big deal not a place to swim or shower) and then we will get back to Ella town around 8.00 am or 9.00 am.

After lunch, begin the next hike up to Little Adam’s peak. This is Ella’s best-known tourist attraction, named after the sacred Adams Peak (Sri Pada –where the footprint of Lord Buddha is preserved) regarding the similarity between the 2 mountains. Start the hike gradually with an easy walk up to the mountain of Little Adams Peak, with marvelous views of Ella Gap. But it is definitely worth it. Once you got to the summit you will realize why we said so. The panoramic views it provides with mist and cloud covering the area, especially in the early mornings and the late evenings are something you should witness and that would suffice enough to say that you visited Ella. Total time for climbing up and down is 4 hours. Yes, sounds like a long journey. But the way up there is with full of diversity. If you are starting form Ella train station, you would enjoy the rail walk, and soon as you started climbing up, you will be passing a waterfall, the rubber tree forest and tea plantations. On a rainy day, it can be slippery, so better be cautious with what you wear for the journey. Wear something suitable for a hiking and towards the end of the hike,.still manageable.
