- Pick up included at any HOTEL in El Calafate. Wait in the hotel lobby from 10 minutes before the scheduled time of pickup. Our tour guide will introduce himself asking for your name. PLEASE INDICATE THE HOTEL WHERE YOU ARE STAYING. We pick up and drop off at hotels and hostels (we do not pick up by Airbnb or apartments or private homes, for this we have meeting points, ask for them).

This horseback riding tour in El Calafate was, without exaggeration, one of the most memorable moments of my trip to Patagonia. From the very beginning, everything was very well organized, and the tour guide, Ezequiel, was very pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and had a warmth that made us feel comfortable and welcome. The landscapes are difficult to describe in words: towering mountains, endless skies, and a connection with nature that takes your breath away. Riding along those trails was a unique, peaceful, and magical experience. Lunch was another highlight of the day. Cooked by Ezequiel himself in a rustic but charming setting, it was delicious. Grilled meat, vegetables, homemade bread, and wine included... everything was top-notch and had that authentic flavor that only food made with dedication and time can have. If you're in El Calafate and looking for a different, intimate experience that is deeply connected to the environment, don't hesitate: this tour is for you. I would go back in a heartbeat!

*Horseback Riding Experience
This is a horseback ride through the Estancia 25 de Mayo Natural Reserve, where we can feel the immensity of the Patagonian countryside, discovering ravines, streams and stories of the southern gauchos, enjoying a picnic lunch in the "Cueva del arroyo" (Cave of the stream).
The starting point is the main house of the Estancia, where we will give a brief technical talk, and after equipping ourselves with helmets and gaiters, we will leave the corrals towards the south, crossing the Calafate Creek Gorge.
On our way we will cross streams and geological formations that show the passage of millions of years. The canyon formed by these rocks protects us from the characteristic winds of the region, while we gain altitude on our journey.
After an hour and a half of riding we arrive at the Cueva del arroyo, where the gauchos in charge of the trip prepare a delicious picnic lunch for us. To complete the experience, we are offered a toast with wine, and then we return to the Estancia 25 de Mayo.
