The trip was great, the guide was knowledgeable and spoke Spanish/English the whole time. I did the optional boat ride which was great. I just wish we had more time at the walkways to see more of the glacier. The day passed by so quickly! It was really nice having door-to-door service, especially at the end when you're tired.

Full description

Departure from your hotel in El Calafate around 10:00 a.m. and we head towards the Perito Moreno Glacier located within the Los Glaciares National Park. Travel to the western tip of the Magellanic Peninsula and have plenty of time to explore this natural ice formation. Begin your tour of the national park by strolling along a 4-kilometer (2.5-mile) network of boardwalks. Admire the glacier from multiple perspectives as you climb to different levels and balconies. Spend 3 hours exploring the slopes and use this time to eat a packed lunch or stop at one of the restaurants. Take an optional 1-hour boat ride in front of the glacier wall. After the tour, return to El Calafate via the same route and arrival in the afternoon.

Our experience with the Perito Moreno Glacier trip from El Calafate was really great. This was really a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us all. Our tour was managed by Patagonia Dreams. Our guide Tobias was very pleasant, knowledgeable and good with English. He gave us a lot of insight on the area’s landscape and history and all the lakes and mountains around. He made everything a very pleasant experience. We enjoyed the trip very much and were really glad that we added the optional boat ride. That boat was really nice and took us close to that glacier and we had amazing view of that side of the glacier. It was definitely worth it. The balconies and boardwalks were amazing and the views from different angles were really breathtaking. We were able to take great pictures from different areas that gave us amazing perspectives of the glacier. This is a trip with awesome experience. Highly recommended!
