We booked a public bus from Puerto Natales, Chile to El Calafate, Argentina. Everything worked great but finding the bus company at the station/rodevario was a bit confusing as the bus company name was not on the booking ticket we received. The bus was full so we were glad we had booked well ahead. It was hard to find out from Australia how to buy a ticket on a public bus so using Get a Guide was helpful even though I’m sure it would have been cheaper to buy direct. In the scheme of things this cost was worthwhile.
