Petra is the most famous tourist site in Jordan today. Petra was once occupied by the Nabateans, and almost everything in Petra was constructed by them. Visiting Petra, you'll be able to see over 800 objects, including the famous treasury, temples, mourning houses, caves, and more. Wadi Rum is everything you'd expect of a quintessential desert: extreme in heat in the summer and freezing temperatures in the winter. It is exacting on the Bedouin who live in it and vengeful on those who ignore the dangers it presents. Experience its power and beauty with your expert guide. Your tour will begin with a pick up from your hotel in Eilat at 08:30 AM. After crossing the Arava border, you will drive to Wadi Musa Petra and tour the site. After the tour, you will eat lunch in Petra and drive to Wadi Rum and stay overnight at an authentic Bedouin camp. What people are saying about Eilat

The Jeep Ride in the dessert and Petra activities were amazing. Avoid shopping in the dessert and the gift shops the guide stops the bus. They are 2-4 times more expensive than at the Petra park. Avoid shopping at “Petra View Shop” everything 4 times more expensive. Always bargain the price. Check prices online. In the evening we arrived at our beduin camp “Sand Rose Camp”. A nice place but too loud on my taste. There we had a delicious dinner and a beduin dance show. The tent where we stayed over night, it was actually a small brick room. The beds were clean, we had toilet and running water. The bath appliances where rusty. They have vegan options. At Petra it was crowded, a lot of entrepreneurs wanting to offer a horse/donkey/camel taxi ride. We had enough time to explore it ourselves. On first day dinner was included, on second day breakfast and lunch.

Magnificent Tour, Magnificent Landscapes and Incredible and Surprising City of Petra! The Bedouin camp is amazing! Electricity and Wi-Fi and private tiled bathroom. Refectory under tent with a magnificent buffet! Crossing the Israeli-Jordanian border a little laborious but it gives you time to get to know the other companions… If you go around in winter, bring warm and waterproof clothes and a light pair of gloves because it is very cold once the sun has set… Beware also of the Bedouins who, despite their legendary sympathy, do everything to rip you off because no price is displayed… Apparently everything is fake and comes from China… to see… The 15-minute horseback ride in 20 dinars ends in 40 with a welcome tip for the Canasson…:-) After calculation, it represents almost $60 for 15 minutes… easy enough !

This trip was a home run from start to finish. I can’t rave enough about it. Our guide Kareem was wonderful. Wadi rum was wonderful. Petra was amazing. The accommodations were nice (bed could have been better - it was saggy). The food was plentiful and delicious. We made friends on the trip. We were taken to “preferred shops”. I’m sure the guide gets kickbacks and we were discouraged from shopping elsewhere. Those stores are vastly overpriced and one shop the storekeepers were pretty aggressive. I know this is somewhat cultural but we got better shopping deals literally everywhere else. Our guide and driver Kareem and Sam took great care of us and it felt genuine. Loved this trip so much.

It was an excellent trip. It took too long to get over the border to Jordan. But otherwise it was a great experience. Our guide spoke good English and was very patient with the group. The lunch was perfect to end the trip. The food was excellent. I went back for seconds!! Sandstone restaurant in Petra is 5 stars..

If it is possible, take 2-days tour. One day is too short to discover all.
