This tour was excellent. This was my second tour with Timberbush and both were excellent. Our guide and driver, Mary was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable and personable. She structured our time very well giving us a little more time in some places and leaving early when we were all too cold to be outside the tour van haha. Each stop was great- even for those who aren't fans of Outlander, but better for those that are.
We had a great day with Wendy and enjoyed every Minute! We had lots of explications, heard scottish music and learned a lot about Scotland. And of course about the filming locations! Very interesting historical castles- and enough time to have a look around. Wendy is a real nice guide, very thoughtful- and we came back with our heads full of impressions and info!! The only castle which I personally found too expansive was "claire's herbal garden"- which has nothing to do with timberbush. But it is possible to walk up a small path and have à glimpse of the garden. I would book again without hesitation!!!

Meeting point
Meet outside the green Ensign Ewart pub, 521-523 Lawnmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2PE. There is currently a shortage of taxis and private hire cabs in Edinburgh, which may make it harder to get to the departure point if you're thinking of using a taxi. It is strongly recommended that you allow for more time to reach the departure point in the morning and look into public transport options as a backup.
