It was such a beautiful day trip. We were able to see lots of things and places that without this trip we couldn’t have been capable of seeing, because it takes someone very skilled to drive on the roads that lead to the Highlands and to Loch Ness. We had several pauses to go to the toilets, visit the towns we were in and drink/eat something. The whole trip there were nice songs playing on the bus that created an enjoyable atmosphere and every once in a while the two guides accompanying us (Laurie and Graham who were super nice and ready to answer any question and take pics for you) would tell us different stories (an audioguide is also provided if you don’t understand the language that says almost everything they say). The whole thing is super well organized and they even called us the day before to remind us the main infos for the trip. In the morning we could also choose which sandwich we wanted to eat for lunch. I would absolutely recommend it, it is definitely worth it!
The tour was really wonderful and absolutely recommended. Our driver Louise was super friendly and had lots of info and stories for us. Country and people, history and economy, geology and ecology - really fascinating. Just as versatile as the Highlands itself. Unfortunately, the bus was not as comfortable as stated in the description - instead of a minibus there was a large coach which was really very cramped. There was no wifi and the plugs for charging cell phones did not work. The picnic, a small sandwich, crisps and cookies, was really tasty. There were vegan options as well. On the way to Loch Ness there were 2 additional breaks (30 minutes and the other 10). Same on the way back. Time to enjoy Loch Ness was a bit more than one hour.
