Edinburgh: Harry Potter Magical Guided Walking Tour

Robbie was our guide, and he has an incredibly deep understanding of the Harry Potter films, which really shone through. I was captivated by his enthusiasm, energy, and the passion he shared with everyone. He was incredibly entertaining, and even made each of us pick a card representing one of the Hogwarts houses—I got Gryffindor, wow! I especially enjoyed the fun quizzes he conducted to test our memory and knowledge of the famous series. Not only did he show us Harry Potter-related sites, but he also took time to share unique aspects of Edinburgh itself. Honestly, although I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The first reason is Robbie himself; the second is my curiosity to learn more about the background of this legendary series that transformed cinema and filmmaking, and how it was inspired by the city of Edinburgh, which feels like a real-life Hogwarts. It’s as if JK Rowling wanted to add an extra layer of magic to Edinburgh by making this series!
