We enjoyed the walk outside. The part about torture at the beginning was a bit long for me. The rest was very interesting, the part in the vault especially. Thank you for thinking about the people who don't drink alcool. Our guide was very funny, I sadly don't remember her name.

What a fun tour!! Michael was incredibly engaging, informative, and had great stories. I learned so much about Edinburgh's history and the wild architecture that gives the city it's magical feel. This tour was delightfully over the top and just the right amount of spooky. My only mistake was not realizing the vaults and dungeons are two separate places. I would have booked BOTH tours!

Michael was so bloody entertaining. what an amazing guide. story teller.. scholar.. and entertaining gent! I was absolutely hooked on his performance and tall tales of paranormal history and punishments . my partner "volunteered" (I might of pushed him into it ! ) and had an amazing time too. please I urge you to try a mercat tour while visiting the royal mile / vaults.
