Edinburgh is a stunningly beautiful city and the face of Scotland. In these small group tours, you will see all of Edinburgh’s main attractions in a glass-roofed convertible minicoach.
What to Expect
Hop aboard the convertible minicoach at Waverley Bridge in central Edinburgh. From here you will travel along Princes Street, arguably the most staggeringly  beautiful main street in the world  where you’ll see hear about the famous castle built on the top of steep rocks, with the gorgeous gardens Princes Street gardens below, which stretch the length of Princes Street,

Then you'll head round to the Grassmarket behind the castle, one of the best places to visit in Edinburgh, and a place that functioned both as a lively market place and a notorious place of execution.  Now it is full of delightful cafes, shops and pubs, with an old bohemian feel to it.

You’ll learn about Edinburgh’s most famous and loyal dog, Greyfriar’s Bobby, before seeing Edinburgh University’s main campus. The buildings here are traditional and stunning, and project an appetite for academia and learning. There’s also the chance to spot some of the magical places that inspired the Harry Potter books in this area.

After you’ve seen Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile, a picturesque hilly cobbled street, you’ll venture past the National Gallery and down into the New Town, where you’ll learn about the Scottish pioneers who lived in these beautiful Georgian buildings.

Then you’ll head off the beaten track and into Edinburgh’s quaint Dean Village. This residential zone was once a separate village and is packed full of charming cobbled lanes. Furhter along you’ll get a view of Stewart’s Melville College and the Galleries of Modern Art.

Back into the city centre, and you will travel along George Street and Queen Street before going past Calton Hill with its unmissable Athenian acropolis.  Then it’s over to to the foot of Arthur’s Seat, which is a huge volcanic rock surrounded by lovely greenspace.  You’ll be beyond amazed at this point as to how one medium sized city could boast so many unbelievable sights in such close proximity to each other.  Holyrood Palace is near Arthur’s Seat, and another fine building to admire. The final leg of the journey takes you through the slightly dark and atmospheric Canongate and back to Waverley Bridge.
