Our guide, Bert, was fantastic. Could’ve lasted all day and we’d have still been enjoying it. He was really knowledgable, not just about food but the whole city and you could tell he loved the place and was passionate about showing it off which he did amazingly. The food was brilliant and his storytelling and humour were on point! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh. We were there on our honeymoon and he made us feel very welcome and made it very memorable! Thanks again and hopefully see you around Edinburgh again, Andy and Shaz!

Nice walk of the city with great food. Guide was great and very knowledgeable on the history of the city and why he chose each tasting. Information on the site needs to be updated. If you drop a pin to the meeting point it will put you a 10 min walk from the actual meeting point. Also the contact numbers on the site are no longer in service.

The tour was a real treat. The tour guide was super friendly and you could feel his enthusiasm for the city, the history and the food. Because I was alone on the tour, it was very personal, but it wasn't uncomfortable. He had previously asked me if he should otherwise call a few people who would come with me if I felt uncomfortable about it. I found that very considerate and friendly. The dishes were great - if I didn't like something (haggis) it wasn't taken as an insult. You have the opportunity to buy whiskey, sweet, savory etc. during the tour. You can also get good recommendations for restaurants. In the end, the tour guide also wrote down great places to go, for example book shops, when he asked if he could give me any tips, places, etc. or if he could answer any questions. At any time you had the opportunity to drink water - very attentive.
