We had our tour on Tuesday 13th September 2022. Our tour guide Darren was witty, knowledgeable and passionate about his job. His stories helped set the tone and atmosphere inside the vaults. Each room we went in had a different history and he had us all gripped straight away. We spent about hour inside the actual vaults which was longer then expected, definitely worth the money and a great end to our trip in Edinburgh. Thank you!

The tour was great, worth the money will be going on another similar one soon. The vaults were great, damp, musty smelling, old cobbled original floors, dark and gloomy. No big bright lights just candle light. There’s also a small museum with gruesome tools of torture from that time. Thankfully there’s Nobody jumping out at you, nobody in fancy dress that would have been a let down and would have ruined the whole experience. A great tour guide full of information. Excellent.

Good guide, good tour, had an eerie feel to the room with the torture devices/exhibition which explained the history of the vaults. I'd recommend it to a friend or family member. We heard loud bangs down when we were told a story about the landlady... ghost come to say hello
