You can use this £16 (24hr) ticket on the blue/yellow, green, and reddish brown buses, but not the brighter red/orange buses (unfortunately similar to the one in the ad) as they are for a different company. Useful to get around the main sights with a bit of audio commentary via an earpiece. Drivers helpful. There's also an app which we didn't really use. Each of the three available tours take about 1 hour.

We would definitely recommend going on these tour buses. The history of Edinburgh is really interesting and is told in a very clear and informative way. The first tour guide we had called Colin was exceptionally good with his funny sense of humour whilst explaining the history of the city. The tour guides stood near the buses couldn’t be more friendly and helpful either. The bus drivers were very pleasant too

Our tour guide, a grey haired, very knowledgeable guy made this bus tour worthwhile. Sorry we have forgotten his name. He made up for the young lad at the beginning of the tour checking us onto the bus. We couldn't download the app with our tickets on. He didn't have a clue of how to solve the issue. However the biggest mistake was, he was stood talking to me with his mask hanging around his arm. I had to ask him if he had a mask? Obviously embarrassed he asked another guy to help. Thankfully he was able to offer a solution. Not a good start though. The tour was saved by the tour guide.
