We booked in advance but could easily have paid on the spot. Bus stop A was easy to spot just outside the airport buildings. A couple of passengers had not printed out their tickets, as required, and were unable to use the digital ones on their phones. Driver was very helpful for us 1st timers in Edinburgh.

I bought two tickets online, while being on vacation in Scotland and I just landed. And it turned out these tickets have to be printed out. I tried the only ticket machine on Edinburgh airport to print it out. I couldn’t because the reference number was too long to put into the machine. I started walking around and asking what can I do. I was advised to ask Ryanair (since I bought my plane tickets on Ryanair) to print out the bus tickets (this took in total 30minutes to walk around ask and find everything). Employee of Ryanair said only the manager has access to the printer and that he is not able to help me. It turned out I just paid for another tickets at the bus drivers. Booking reference GYGLMWRRBBZX | PIN [email protected] I lost 10,50€

The only downside to this was having to have the vouchers printed out even though there is a QR code on the voucher. It does say on the voucher it needs to be printed but It wasn’t made clear before the actual purchase. The guy at the airport was super helpful and I was able to email to him and he printed off ticket so it wasn’t a huge issue but just being abje to have them as digital vouchers would make his life easier too
