From Sydney: Private Blue Mountains Day Trip with Bushwalks

1. From Sydney: Private Blue Mountains Day Trip with Bushwalks

Take the hassle out of planning and organizing your own day trip to the Blue Mountains with this private day trip for you and your group only. Your day starts with convenient pickup from your hotel or accommodation, before heading west towards the Great Dividing Range. Depending on your preferences, when passing through western Sydney you can take 1.5 hours at either Featherdale Wildlife Park, home to the largest collection of Australian native animals in the world, or Sydney Zoo, Sydney's newest animal sanctuary with both native and exotic animals. Both offer the chance to see all your favourite animals up close and interact directly with some truly iconic Aussie creatures, including koalas, kangaroos, and many more. Further west the journey follows the Great Western Highway, the same route taken by Aboriginals for thousands of years. Once in the mountains, enjoy some time for bushwalking, waterfalls, and lookouts. While hiking, keep an eye out for colourful birds, unique animal life, and dramatic canyons and cliffs. Your expert guide will point out interesting natural formations, and provide commentary throughout the day. Choose from an array of different dining options for lunch. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the national park, a table at a great local cafe, a bistro meal in an Aussie pub, or a gourmet experience in a prestigious restaurant. After lunch you'll head to Echo Point, which provides the best view of the Three Sisters and the Jamison Valley to hear the Aboriginal story of creation. Optional free time for you to visit Scenic World for the Discovery pass taking in the three rides (at own expense) or you can go on another beautiful bushwalk. After this adventurous day, your driver/guide will safely deliver you back to your pickup address or drop you off on route if preferred.

Sydney: Blue Mountains Waterfalls, Walks, and Sunset Tour

2. Sydney: Blue Mountains Waterfalls, Walks, and Sunset Tour

Enjoy a small group photo tour of the Blue Mountains including sunset at Echo Point. This semi-private tour departs later so you can sleep in and avoid Sydney’s rush hour traffic. You'll stop at three amazing lookouts. Each lookout is just a short walk from the vehicle. Then listen to sounds of nature, the birds, and rushing water on two longer walks to some majestic waterfalls. Keen nature lovers will enjoy the 90-minute bush walk into Wentworth Falls and two other 20 minute walks. Those who would rather not join in the longer walks can choose to take a shorter walk or visit Scenic World for two hours. After the group reunites you'll visit two spectacular lookouts before returning to Echo Point to view the Three Sisters as the sun sets. The final remote lookout looks west over the Megalong Valley to watch the last rays of sunlight. Finally, relax at a local hotel and enjoy dinner before returning to Sydney.

Although I am much delayed in leaving this review, as I went on this tour last July, I had to take a moment to HIGHLY recommend this tour, or any with terry for that fact! In my trip to Sydney, this Blue Mountains tour was by far one of the BEST, if not the best experience I had while there. From the friendly, small group environment (which is a lovely way to make some new friends, and I found to be so fun!), to Terry's promptness (he showed up at my hotel right on time, with a smile, even AFTER I had booked the tour quite last minute!), to his thoughtfulness and knowledge (especially of Photography! This is a huge bonus, and I left with the most incredible photos from the day) as well as the incredible opportunity to learn so much from Terry about general information/Australia, truly made for a day I will likely not ever forget. No other tour I have been on anywhere in the world gave me the anything near the quality of this enriching, personalized experience I got with Terry

It was a fabulous day! I loved the time spent at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Koalas were the highlights for me. Blue Mountains took my breath away and if around Sydney, it’s a must! The trip was well-organised and we had enough time to take some pics and enjoyed our time. I wouldn’t mind spending even more time in each of those places but considering how much we needed to cover in one day, I think it was perfect!

Weather was perfect so we could see beautiful blue mountain. This is great tour to enjoy everything during the day. And our tour guide he is the best! He is knowledgeable, good story teller also has sense of humor. It was great time to know about aborigine culture too. Highly recommend this tour. One of my Best tour I’ve ever joined!

Great tour, with a small group and a great tour guide. Dave was really funny en explained everything. Really a great experience!

A brilliant way to see the sights without having to stress about timings yourself. Our guide Andrew’s knowledge was incredible!
