The 4-hour tour begins with a pick-up at your hotel, and you’ll then embark on a scenic tour of Durban to see a variety of landmarks that highlight the city's diverse history and culture. On Victoria Street you’ll see traditional Zulu attire and traditional healers offering different kinds of umothi (Zulu medicines). This is a popular area for local residents to meet for shopping and lunch. After, your tour guide will show you around the exterior of the Moses Mabhida Stadium and explain its history, use and significance. You will be given time to go to the sky platform by an elevator called the Sky Car for an additional fee. The tour also includes a visit to uShaka Marine World’s Village Walk on the famous Golden Mile Beachfront on Durban’s or Tambo parade. There you will be given time to shop and have lunch. Visit the Kwa-Muhle Museum and learn about the history of apartheid in Durban. It also houses a very interesting HIV / Aids exhibition which educates the public on the South African HIV/ Aids situation. Relax at the Botanical Garden and listen to the lovely melodies of different species of birds. Admire the many varieties of South African flowers as well. Afterwards you’ll be taken on a drive to the Durban’s City Hall, Durban Harbour and Umgeni Hindu temple. Superb tour, started off with Table Mountain, our guide helped us get the tickets and we were guided to the lift avoiding the queues and we spent an hour on Table Mountain taking in the amazing views. We were met again by the guide when we returned to ground level, who then took us an amazing tour of the City where we saw everything that was promised. Our Guide was amazing her knowledge of Cape Town and South Africa was of the highest level, nothing was to much trouble for her. Myself and my wife would highly recommend this tour and the guide.

We had booked a city tour with Zulu Safaris. We wanted to do this tour as part of a cruise. It didn't really work out that well at first. This was probably due to the communication between GYG and the provider. This knew nothing about our tour, which is possibly due to the permanent power failure. GYG has to come up with something here. The supplier did come to the port, but for a different couple and for a different tour. The provider reacted very well to the initial stress and so we ended up uninvolved in a lion park and then did the city tour with the other couple, because they had imagined the safari differently and then rearranged it. The guide tried very hard and made the day a great experience. It should be mentioned that the sky railway to the stadium has been out of service for more than four years. GYG should also adjust the description.

We went to the University of KZN. We couldn't get into the premises due to COVID restrictions. We then went to the Botanical Gardens which was a phenomenal experience. Well manicured, breathtaking and the tour guide is an absolute gem. We also got to take lots of stunning pictures! We then went to see the CBD, the Moses Mabida stadium and the Durban Harbour. It was a marvelous tour. The great thing is that we stopped at multiple places. Our tour guide Sotiris is amazing. He has a true passion for people and his job.
